Wetland Delineation & Mitigation

Wetlands are regulated by the Wisconsin DNR and, in many cases, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Before you design near one, you need to know exactly where it is. We delineate and map wetland boundaries, analyze alternatives, prepare permit applications, and design mitigation when impacts can't be avoided.

Frequently asked questions

When can a wetland be delineated?

Field delineations are generally done during the growing season, when plants and soils can be evaluated. Plan ahead if your schedule runs through winter.

Do I need a permit to fill a wetland?

Usually, yes, from the DNR and often the Army Corps. Avoiding the wetland is almost always faster and cheaper.

Can you survey a delineation someone else did?

Yes. We regularly survey and map wetland boundaries flagged by others.
