Municipal Engineer

Summary

You'll serve as the day-to-day engineer for several of our municipal clients. That means attending meetings, reviewing development plans against local ordinances, and managing public improvement projects from design through construction.

If you like being the person a village board trusts, and you're comfortable speaking in public settings, this job is for you.

What you'll do

  • Act as liaison to municipal staff, plan commissions, and boards, and attend meetings
  • Review site plans, plats, and CSMs for ordinance compliance
  • Design and manage public improvement projects: streets, utilities, and stormwater
  • Prepare budgets, bid documents, and grant applications
  • Mentor younger engineers

Qualifications

Required

  • B.S. in Civil Engineering
  • Wisconsin P.E. license
  • 5+ years working with municipal clients
  • Comfortable speaking in public settings

Preferred

  • Experience with LRIP, CDBG, or DNR funding programs
  • AutoCAD Civil 3D
